Elvaston Castle Christmas Parties Cancelled.
As is usual with an event of this nature, a temporary events licence is required to operate the parties. Several different authorities need to give their approval in order for the events licence to be successfully issued.
Despite the team at Elvaston Castle, the police, and the drinks licensing officer being generally supportive of the Christmas parties taking place, we have encountered some challenges when dealing with the Environmental Health Officer (EHO) due to the proximity of some local housing.
Despite our best efforts over the past few weeks, sadly we have not been able to overcome these challenges and as a result we have been left with no option but to cancel the parties for this year.
Firstly, I would like to offer our sincere apologies. Not only are we upset for our guests, but also for our events team who have worked so hard to put the parties together at Elvaston. Hopefully we will be able to secure an alternative venue for 2024.
